Important Setup Instructions for the ParaLink-Mesh App

⚠️ Before You Begin

Make sure you are opening this page in a real web browser (e.g. Chrome or Safari).
If you try to download from within an app (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, or X/Twitter), the .apk file will not install correctly.

The ParaLink-Mesh App is constantly being worked on and we are developing new features all the time

Step 1: Update Device Firmware

1. SpecTracer
   • Ensure your SpecTracer is connected to the internet.
   • On the SpecTracer device, go to:
     Settings → Firmware Update
   • Update to version 1.5.
2. Spirit Talker Lite
   • Ensure your Spirit Talker Lite is connected to the internet.
   • On the device, go to:
     Settings → Firmware Update
   • Update to version 1.12.

Step 2: Install the ParaLink-Mesh App

• Download and install the .apk file below directly onto your Android phone.
• The installation should complete automatically once downloaded.

Step 3: Configure WiFi Settings

• Edit the wifisettings.txt file on both:
  • SpecTracer
  • Spirit Talker Lite
• Add your Android phone’s Hotspot details (SSID and password).

Step 4: Connect Devices

1. Turn on your phone’s Hotspot.
2. Open the ParaLink-Mesh App.
3. Power on your SpecTracer and/or Spirit Talker Lite.
4. Wait for the devices to initialise — they will automatically connect.

Step 5: Recording

Use your phone’s built-in Screen Recorder to capture your session.
